I think his point is that it's only possible with current mobspawners, so if you would put in a black moa, it would become a regular moa spawner like the ones there are now. Same for panda: catch a panda with it, it becomes a panda spawner. Such specific spawners probably don't even exist right now.

I would like to add to this suggestion because I want this amazing block to get added! The empty mob spawner is created with any spawner (If the spawner is easy to get, then it will spawn slower. If it is harder to get, it will spawn really fast!), a disenchanter, 3 empty spawn eggs, 2 Invisibility Potions (8:00) and 2 beacons (This could be a different recipe, but this is just my recipe). The recipe is shaped like this:

BDB
ESE
PEP

B = Beacon
D = Disenchanter
E = Empty Spawn Egg
S = Mob Spawner (Any Type)
P = Invisibility Potion (8:00)

Once you get the empty mob spawner, it is useless until right-clicked with 8 spawn eggs of the same type. You will see the mob inside the spawner getting bigger as the eggs get deposited. Once the mob is at full size, the spawner will spawn those mobs! Can you please add this? I would love it! :yay:

What about mobspawners that are no longer obtainable or just don't exist at all: Ex. Iron Golem, Snowgolen, Ender Dragon, Wither Skeleton, Penguin, etc.

Yes Adam, the empty mob spawner would make it possible for any mob spawner to be obtained, except mobs that can't be captured in an egg, like bosses. Ex: If you wanted a cockatrice spawner, you would need 8 cockatrice spawn eggs and the empty mob spawner to make a cockatrice spawner.

I had a conversation with Nidefawl, and he suggested that the empty mob spawner only worked for a limited time. Once time runs out, the empty mob spawner could either become useless, or it gets hungry and needs more spawn eggs. :) Another idea is that maybe the empty mob spawner could be used for a limited amount of times before you will need to obtain another empty mob spawner. Do you think this option would help the empty mob spawner from becoming too over powered? Thanks.

I think that would just not be fun, and more annoying than useful.

Better to not implement it than to implement it that way.

Using a spawn egg is not the way to go. Supplying it with more empty spawn eggs will not work and will become just too expensive and pointless. As I said before, I had already added a "soul jar", which you bind to a mob and then as you kill mobs with a certain type of weapon, the "souls" inside the jar increase. Recently, arbr has been working on one or two textures for this, "empty mob spawner", with a custom model etc. Once a jar is at 1000 souls, it would be able to be put inside a empty mob spawner and that spawner would start spawning mobs. Right now, the only way to make it balanced that actually makes sense for this idea would to be to make it spawn slower than normal spawners, or only spawn one mob at a time. Any ideas?
