Name change

So a while back I changed my in game name. I was wondering if this effects the server? (I haven’t been able to get on in a while so I was wondering if this could be the problem)

Is this server set up based on names or user IDs?

If you changed your vanilla Minecraft username it won't update on craftland. However if you ask a mod or admin in game we can change it to the new minecraft name for you.
What problems are you having when trying to get on?

When I try to join the server it just has the “joining server” screen indefinitely. However, it’s not frozen as I can click cancel
