Weird problem logging in

Has anyone had trouble logging in where you click to connect to the server and it never connects? I am still on 1.4_01 and I am just not able to connect for some reason.
You can always read the Topicinfo in irc, just when u log it says:
+++ cynexz (Yourname) set to mode +i
Craftland.org Minecraft Server | server adress: craftland.org:25565 |We are running on 1.5_01 If you still have version 1.4 Please upgrade to connect.
