Information about the item
The lock of life's purpose is to "store" your health after death and restore it upon respawn. Normally when you die and you have more than 10 permanent hearts, your total health will go down by one. But with this item equipped, the item will lose 1 durability instead of you losing 1 heart. This item can be really useful when fighting bosses, a horde of mobs or if you have a habit of dying.
This item will not have any uses when your max health is 10 and will not lose durability upon dying when equipped, it can also NOT lose durability upon being hit by an entity. This item cannot be enchanted with anything and cannot be repaired with anything other than another Lock of Life.
The Lock of Life can only be found in gold dungeon chests, the reason for this is that there is currently only 4 available items loot-able from the gold dungeon chest that is not a piece of armor (life shard, pig slayer, vampire blade & iron bubble). The chance of finding this item will be only a little rarer than finding a phoenix chestplate within one of these chests. Maybe it could also be obtainable via the VoteShop for around 50 votepoints.
