How to get newbies to read the rules board?

i think there should be a rank-up sign at the ed of the maze but you have to go trough some sort of maxe trials.
E: is greifing allowed on this server?
and they would read signs at beginning
if they mess up, they have to go back to the start.
if they say "yes" and take the "yes" path, they step on a warp pad that leads to the beginning of the maze.
if you like my idea, please help.

The maze isnt completed yet.
It will be a maze where you need to read every sign to continue.

I don't think a maze is a bad idea.
It's not like it's supposed to be entertaining, just bearable.
It also separates the real players from those who won't take our rules seriously.

However I do like Kusaki's idea of a GUI popup.

I played on a couple of servers where there was a hallway with all of the rules and there was a couple of words that would be used to get out of the area by some command, if people say what the words are, they would be banned. this way the players have to read the signs to find the words

we are currently working on a new spawn, which a walk though all the stuff on the server

Still, you could speed trough it. Stop this topic, there will always be a way griefers will find to defy the law.
