Dark Torches
Ever make a grinder and its too light? ever want one area to be dark and another area really close to be light? Solution: Dark torches. Instead of making areas light this torch would make areas dark. This would be VERY helpful with grinders and spawners as well as creating mazes, ETC.

Im not sure how the lighting system for torches works nor if it would allow this to work, but it seems like an ok idea

It seems as though this may work Toguno. When Nidefawl posted this, he said lighting works on a static based block, so making a torch with a negative light value wouldn't be too difficult.nidefawl wrote: THE LIGHTING WORKS ON A STATIC BLOCK BASED LEVEL AND IS PRECALCULATED WHENEVER A BLOCK CHANGES. Re: Dark Torches
A torch gives a light level of 14 and decends the farther you get from it. Maybe dark torches start at 0 and slowly gets brighter the farther you go. Btw hostile mobs spawn at light level 7 (I think)Lumberlord wrote:Pig001 wrote:Im not sure how the lighting system for torches works nor if it would allow this to work, but it seems like an ok ideaIt seems as though this may work Toguno.
