My idea for the "empty mobspawner" would be:

You buy it from the shop. Incredible expensive
You can place it near other spawners. But not near another "empty mobspawner".
That way you can power up your grinders.
You open the empty mobspawner.
There is one item slot in it. You put spawn egg in it.
You click an accept button.
If its not a reusable egg it will be consumed/destroyed
A fuel bar goes up by 10%.
A hint is shown "Current mob type: <name of the previously put in spawnegg type>"
You can add more eggs of the same type.
Once its back at 0% you can put in a different spawn egg type.
You can set the speed in 3 steps: slow, normal, fast
The progess bar would then go down slower or faster

The fuel bar would go down a percent every minute.
The number of eggs are not in a linear relation to the mobs it will spawn.
If your setup is wrong (not enough room, no block to spawn on, too many mobs etc etc) it may not spawn a single mob before it hits 0%

Instead of spawn eggs it could simply consume the soul jar once its working.
I would rather make it work with empty spawn eggs for now. I still see a ton of work to do with the soul catching code.

I love all of your ideas! I have a grinder and this would make it useful for making my grinder more powerful. I also have a reusable spawn egg. This would be so useful. If this gets added, I would literally get so excited that I will probably play 2 times the amount of time I currently play. Also, do you know how much credits the empty mob spawner would cost? Maybe in the future, the empty mob spawner could be used with more than one mob, if that's fine with you. I hope this gets added! Thanks.
