Judging by the unable to find hard drive error i assume there is a problem in your MBR. You can try a tool like UBCD to resolve the issue, but reinstalling windows would be better if your in a position where you have a recovery disk. Laptop on boot gets a error that pops up "Unable to find hard drive" Hopefully by this wednesday my friend can fix it by popping in a disc to wipe everything, but other than that if he cannot it may be months till i'm back.
