How about Sliced bread, It would be any sword and a Piece of bread in a Crafting table. Salad is made from Lettuce, Apples, mango, and a bowl.
Lettuce would be a new plant.
Feeds half a hunger bar.

Gives another use for eggs.
If you cook a egg in a furnace you get a hard boiled egg.
The egg will feed 2.5 Chicken nugget/Hunger.
Takes 1 coal to cook.
